My wife and I used to babysit Jon Ireland and his younger brother at Harding. I'm trying to think of some way that I can wiggle in here and claim a share of the credit for his success as a person and coach.
I'm pretty sure that I was the one who first kicked a ball in his direction, and the rest, as they say, is history. ;-)
This is indeed wonderful. Patterson and I used to coach the Ireland kids when they played for Searcy high! Between us and Mike the Eyeguy, we are sure to have set Faulkner's soccer program on the road to success with Ireland at the helm!
What's that I hear playing?... "It's a small world after all...."
