One thing I appreciated and have never forgotten about starting my new job at HU, and that was starting the first business meeting off with a prayer. I had never been in a work situation in which that had been done, and it was refreshing, inspirational, and still amazes me to get to work in an environment like this. I'm glad you will be getting to experience that, too.

Go Eagles, indeed.

Me, too. I'll be working with law students as they represent widows and disenfranchised people, abuse victims and their families. I certainly am grateful to be able to infuse that work with prayer and to invoke God's peace and presence in the work.

Did you notice that the new FU football caoch is a Harding man? Jim Nichols, '98.

No, I didn't catch that. Cool.
That means you will beat the top ranked teams you play, but will lose to those in the cellar. It's something in the DNA of this program that is unavoidable.

That's great, Jeff. Now if you take a couple of classes while you teach you can officially be a student and get some use out of your remaining eligibility. They'll let you walk on.

Argentina did indeed clean up. Poor S&M, lose their country, lose the Cup, and who will pay their bonuses?

(As the BBC might say....) Tomorrow the Yanks get to prove their manhood against the constant Azzuri, confident enough to ignore video as they threaten the North Americans with utter dismay and grief. Can Bruce and the boys ignite a moribund nation and get their pride on before the ravenous continentals? Only time will tell of couse, but Landon and Claudio must take deep breaths and muster their fighting spirit for this conflagration with the Old World.

EL,

With Jeremy Bloom as precedent, I don't know if I still am eligible after my endoresment deals during my brief - but lively - stint in Ultimate Championship Fighting. Who knew Ganja's Silver Ninja Throwing Stars would collapse in a wave of accounting scandals before I fought a match. Tough luck, FU football!

Welcome back to Bama.

Your BBC commentary was spot on. I'm proud of our lads and the fight they put up yesterday. It was one for the books.
